Breathless.
When I look at you,
There’s a billion little things that happen to me.
Though from the outside,
As an on-looker,
You wouldn’t see much more,
Than a radiant sparkle which enters my eyes.
When I look at you,
My usual train of thoughts stops.
I am no longer capable,
Of thinking straight.
My mind becomes an explosion of brilliant colours,
Each more vivid than the last.
When I look at you,
My heart rate spikes.
My heart beats a million times a minute.
I can feel it violently thudding,
Against my ribs,
Which hold it prisoner.
When I look at you,
Swarms of butterflies invade my stomach,
Beating their vibrant wings,
Without a pause,
Giving me that not unpleasant feeling,
I’ve come to associate,
With seeing you.
When I look at you,
The voices of those around me,
Are turned to mere whispers.
They pale in comparison,
To the sight of you.
You leave me breathless,
Every single time.
When I look at you,
And see the golden sunshine,
Reflect off your beautiful brown hair.
See you smile,
That beyond beautiful smile of yours.
I fall in love with you,
All over again.
