He Began His Career As An Assistant Director With I. S. Johar And His Elder Brother, B. R. Chopra. He Made Directional Debut With Dhool Ka Phool In 1959. He Collaborated With Sridevi In Two Of What Has Been Considered To Be His Finest Films; The Romantical Musical Chandni In 1989.
The Founding Chairman Of The Film Production And Distribution Company Yash Raj Films, He Was The Recipient Of Several Awards, Including Six National Film Awards And 11 Film fare Awards. He Is Considered Among The Best Indian Filmmakers. The Indian Government Honoured Him With The Dadasaheb Phalke Award In 2001, And The Padma Bhushan In 2005 And Also Best Feature Film In Hindi, Best Director, Best Film, Lifetime Achievement Award And Many More. He Died On 21 October 2012, Mumbai, Maharashtra Due To Dengue Fever.
यश चोपड़ा एक भारतीय निर्देशक और फिल्म निर्माता थे। उनका जन्म 27 सितंबर 1932 को लाहौर में हुआ था। उनका पूरा नाम यशराज चोपड़ा है। उन्होंने हिंदी फिल्मों में काम किया। उन्होंने आई। एस। जौहर और उनके बड़े भाई, बी। आर। चोपड़ा के साथ असिस्टेंट डायरेक्टर के रूप में अपना करियर शुरू किया। उन्होंने 1959 में धूल का फूल के साथ निर्देशन में डेब्यू किया। उन्होंने श्रीदेवी के साथ दो बेहतरीन फिल्मों में काम किया, जिन्हें उनकी सबसे बेहतरीन फिल्मों में माना जाता है, 1989 में रोमांटिक म्यूजिकल चांदनी।
